 Filipinos celebrate Araw ng Kagitingan, or Day of Valor, to honor the bravery and sacrifices of Filipino and American soldiers during World War II. It commemorates the heroism displayed by Filipino and American troops, particularly during the Battle of Bataan and the subsequent Bataan Death March. Araw ng Kagitingan serves as a reminder of the courage and resilience of those who fought for freedom and democracy, and it honors their memory as symbols of national pride and unity.
